Republic Bank Supports Carriacou Regatta Festival’s Golden Anniversary

St. George’s - July 27, 2015: As Carriacou prepares to welcome scores of visitors to its shores Republic Bank congratulates the Carriacou Regatta Festival on its golden (50th) anniversary. The Bank, for three decades and counting, has supported the Regatta Festival Committee in its efforts to keep the sailing and boat building tradition alive.

The Festival highlights the island’s cultural heritage of sailing, boat building and community oneness, truly representing our indigenous way of life. Scores of visitors and sailing enthusiasts from around the region and further, generating much needed economic benefits to the Sister Isle. This year, Republic Bank has contributed ($15,000.00) Fifteen Thousand Dollars to the festival, particularly the large Sloop deck category of sailors.

Republic Bank remains committed to its social responsibilities as a good corporate citizen, by contributing meaningfully to our national festivals.
