Republic Bank Gives $30,000.00 To Sponsor Angel Harps Steel Orchestra

St. George's - June 17, 2013:  Thirteen-time Panorama champions and reigning Junior champs, Republic Bank Angel Harps is in full swing with plans for Panorama 2013.

Managing Director of Republic Bank, Mr. Keith Johnson presented band officials with a sponsorship cheque for $30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Dollars) to assist with preparations for the competition.   On making the presentation, Mr. Johnson reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to the Steel Orchestra, which spans thirty-one years of unbroken partnership.

Manager Bryan Sylvester indicated that practice is in full swing, while tuning will commence early July, in time for the Bomb Tune competition scheduled for July 07, 2013.  Sylvester is confident about capturing the coveted title for a fourteenth time.

Republic Bank Angel Harps is the oldest known steel band in Grenada, and provides a positive alternative to young people by teaching them to play the steel pan.
