Republic Bank Supports GCA Under-19 Inter-Parish Competition

St. George’s Grenada; April 07, 2021: Republic Bank is pleased to provide financial assistance to the GCA Under-19 Inter-Parish Cricket Competition, which supports the development of youth cricketing talent in Grenada.

The Competition is a critical developmental programme geared at harnessing young cricketing talent, and the Bank has supported this initiative since 2015. Over the years the Bank’s sponsorship has produced noteworthy achievements, with several players moving on to compete at the regional and international (U19 World Cup) levels – Emmanuel Stewart and Ryan John among others.

Games are played at the National Cricket Stadium and, given the COVID-19 protocols in force, spectators are not allowed to attend the games; however, the finals will be streamed live on Saturday, April 24th.

With the exception of Carriacou and St. John, five (5) parishes are enrolled in the tournament. We wish the players and organizers every success.
