Republic Bank Scholarship and Bursary Programme Continues to Support Grenadian Nationals enrolled at UWI

St. George’s, Grenada; September 26, 2024: Twenty Grenadian nationals will benefit from Republic Bank’s Scholarship and Bursary Programme in collaboration with the University of West Indies for the 2024 - 25 academic year.

Ms. Terisha Gilbert is the current recipient of the Scholarship award and is completing her final year at the UWI Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. She receives an annual grant of $20,000.00 to assist with tuition, books and living expenses. Terisha is enrolled in the Faculty of Science where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

Additionally, 19 Grenadian nationals are receiving support through the Bursary Programme, at a cost of $39,378.36. The Bursary programme assists students with their tuition for courses pursued through the UWI - Global Campus.

During a brief presentation ceremony at the UWI Global Campus in Marryshow House, St. George’s, Mrs. Elizabeth Richards-Daniel, Manager – Finance at Republic Bank, congratulated the students on their determination to pursue academic excellence.

The Scholarship and Bursary Programme forms part of Republic Bank’s flagship social investment initiative, the Power to Make a Difference.
