Republic Bank Relaunches Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme

St. George's, Grenada; July 29, 2026: Republic Bank yesterday officially relaunched its Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme, welcoming six recent graduates of the T.A. Marryshow Community College, who will participate in the Bank's flagship youth development initiative.

Designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work, the programme equips participants with practical workplace experience, professional values, and the confidence needed to succeed in their future careers.

Addressing the participants at the launch, Managing Director, Mrs. Naomi De Allie congratulated the apprentices on their selection and encouraged them to embrace every opportunity for personal and professional growth. "Your selection reflects the confidence we have in your potential, your willingness to learn, and your ability to grow into young professionals who will one day make meaningful contributions to your families, your communities, and ultimately, to the development of our nation."

Mrs. De Allie noted that the Youth Link Programme has produced countless success stories across the Republic Financial Holdings Group, with many former participants building successful careers within Republic Bank and other organizations.

A highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of several Republic Bank team members who were themselves beneficiaries of the Youth Link Programme. Their presence served as a powerful reminder to the new participants of what is possible when opportunity is matched with commitment, hard work and determination.

Delivering the feature address was Ms. Peaches Ann George, a member of Republic Bank's Management Associate Programme and a graduate of the Youth Link Programme's 1997 cohort. Reflecting on her own journey, she encouraged the apprentices to make the most of every opportunity.

"Twenty-nine years ago, I sat where you are today - eager, curious and uncertain about what the future would hold. YouthLink gave me far more than work experience; it gave me confidence, practical skills, lasting relationships and the foundation for my career. Today, as a member of Republic Bank's Leadership Team, I can say with certainty that this programme has the power to change lives. Make the most of every opportunity, because you never know where this journey may lead."

Ms. George encouraged the participants to remain curious, embrace new challenges and build meaningful relationships with their mentors and colleagues.

Over the coming months, participants will gain first-hand exposure to the banking environment while developing essential workplace competencies, including customer service, communication, teamwork, professionalism and problem-solving. They will also participate in personal development sessions and entrepreneurship training designed to prepare them not only for employment, but for life.
