3D Secure is a service provided by both Visa and Mastercard which acts as a method of authentication, to enhance the security of online transactions for all credit card owners. It allows only the cardholder to use the card when shopping online.

The impact on the cardholder is minimal. During checkout, the cardholder will be prompted to choose how they’d like to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) or verification code - either by SMS or email. The bank will send the OTP to the mobile number or email address it has on file. The cardholder simply enters the code in the designated field to complete the transaction. The entire process typically takes less than two minutes.

A One-Time Password (OTP) is a unique, temporary code that can be used for a single login session or transaction. It helps verify the cardholder’s identity and enhances the security of online payments.

If the OTP is entered incorrectly three (3) times, the transaction will fail. After this, you will be prompted to contact 1-(473)-440-4725 for assistance.

The OTP is valid for eleven (11) minutes from the time it is received. If it expires, you may request a new OTP by clicking the “Resend” link. You can request up to three (3) OTPs. After the third attempt, authentication will be considered unsuccessful, and you will be prompted to contact 1-(473)-440-4725 for assistance.

No registration is required; 3D Secure is automatically enabled on your card. Please ensure that the Bank has your current mobile phone number and email address, as the OTP will be sent to the contact information we have on file.

3D Secure provides an additional layer of protection when using your Visa or Mastercard credit card for online payments. By requiring a private One-Time Password (OTP), it helps prevent unauthorized use of your card and ensures that only you, the cardholder, can complete the transaction.

Merchants that support 3D Secure typically display the Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode / Mastercard Identity Check logo on their website, indicating that the enhanced authentication method is available.
